CareTechShop.com – Warranty & Return Policy
1. Warranty Coverage
 a. Standard Warranty
 We offer a limited warranty on all products purchased through CareTechShop.com, valid for one (1) year from the date of delivery, unless a longer warranty is provided by the manufacturer. During this period, we (or the manufacturer) will repair or replace, at no additional cost (excluding shipping, see below), any defective product or component due to defects in workmanship or materials, subject to the terms listed here.
b. Manufacturer Longer Warranties
 If a product comes with a longer warranty offered by the manufacturer (e.g. 2, 3, 5, or 10 years), that warranty will take precedence, and we will facilitate claims to the manufacturer where applicable.
c. Parts & Components
 Replaced parts or components are warranted only for the remaining term of the original warranty (i.e., they are not given a new full term).
d. Original Purchaser Only
 The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser (the first customer) and is non-transferable.
2. What Is & Is Not Covered
Covered:
- 
Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. 
- 
Failures or malfunctions that occur during the warranty period under normal conditions. 
Exclusions / Not Covered:
- 
Damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, unauthorized modifications, improper installation or assembly (not according to instructions), or lack of maintenance. 
- 
Normal wear and tear (e.g. fading, surface scratches, deterioration over time). 
- 
Damage caused by external forces (water, fire, storm, power surges, etc.). 
- 
Damage caused by shipping, unless we are notified within a specific time window (see “Reporting & Returns”). 
- 
Cosmetic damage unless it affects function. 
- 
Products without original serial numbers, warranty labels, or proof of purchase. 
3. Reporting & Return Process
a. Notification Period
 You must notify us of any defect or issue within 30 days of discovering the defect (but within the warranty period).
b. Return Authorization
 We will issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Products returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.
c. Shipping Costs
- 
For approved warranty returns: the customer may be responsible for shipping the defective item to us (or as instructed). 
- 
For replaced items or parts: we may cover return shipping from us to you, or require you to pay it (subject to the manufacturer’s terms). 
- 
In some cases, local collection or drop-off may be arranged. 
d. Condition of Return
 Products must be returned in their original packaging (if possible), with all parts, accessories, and documentation.
e. Inspection & Repair / Replacement
 Once we (or the manufacturer) receive and inspect the returned product and confirm the defect is covered under warranty, we will repair or replace it (or its parts). If a product is replaced, the defective item may become our property or the manufacturer’s property.
4. Refund Option / Escalation
If we (or the manufacturer) cannot reasonably repair or replace the product during the warranty period, you may be eligible for a refund (subject to deduction of shipping or handling costs), limited to the original purchase price.
5. Limitation of Liability
Our liability (or the manufacturer’s) for breach of warranty or defects is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price of the product. We (and the manufacturer) are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (such as loss of use, loss of profits, or damage to other property), to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Consumer Rights & Legal Disclosures
Certain jurisdictions (e.g. in the U.S.) provide consumers with rights beyond what’s stated here (such as implied warranties or statutory rights). This warranty does not affect those rights where applicable.
7. How to File a Claim
To file a warranty claim:

Contact our Support at [support@caretechshop.com] or via our Returns/Support portal. 
- 
Provide your order number, product name, date of purchase, description of the defect, and photographic evidence. 
- 
We will review and, if accepted, issue you an RMA and instructions for returning the item. 
- 
After inspection, we will repair/replace or refund as per policy. 
8. Exceptions / Special Conditions
- 
Open-box, refurbished, or clearance items might have modified or limited warranties (disclosed at sale). 
- 
Some categories of products (e.g. electronics, batteries, screens) may carry shorter warranty terms (e.g. 6 months) — in such cases, the shorter term will be clearly disclosed before purchase. 
- 
Products sold “as is” are exempt from warranty.
